Family Justice Center coming to Imperial County
September 7, 2011 By Imperial Valley Press Staff Writer A Family Justice Center, which helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, will open in Imperial County, a press release announced. Through a competitive process the National Family Justice Center Alliance selected five communities to participate, according to the release. Family Justice Centers provides a place in a community where domestic violence and sexual assault victims can meet with a detective, talk to a prosecutor, work with an advocate, see a doctor or nurse, or access a shelter, the release reads. The other four centers will be located in Alpine County, Sacramento County, Solano County and Yolo County, the release reads. |
